FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kuwait City, Kuwait – Advanced Technology Company (ATC) and Pevco Systems International, Inc., announced today that the installation of a pneumatic tube system featuring the largest Pevco Vector™ system in the world is nearing completion at New Jahra Hospital.
“Pevco Vector™ provides direct, streamlined delivery of pharmaceuticals, specimens and blood products without the stops, waits and error-prone complexity of other systems,” explained Bill Powder, Pevco’s Vice President of International Sales. “It provides maximum throughput to support the needs of the busiest labs, pharmacies and emergency departments. There’s no doubt that its unmatched reliability, maximum capacity and low total cost of ownership delivers the best value for New Jahra Hospital and its patients,” he added.
ATC’s deep knowledge of hospital planning combined with Pevco’s expertise in pneumatic tube system engineering led to the cooperative partnership needed for New Jahra’s successful system design and installation. “The close collaboration between ATC and Pevco allowed us to efficiently implement all aspects of this project’s complex scope,” said Aymen Saleem, ATC’s Director of Environmental & Scientific Solutions Department. “Our partnership reflects our shared commitment to the New Jahra Hospital and, more importantly, to supporting the healthcare needs of the people of Kuwait.”
Operation of New Jahra’s 180-station, 20-zone Pevco Vector™ system will begin once construction of the 1,170-bed hospital is completed later this year. Pevco Atlas™, the next generation tube delivery management software, will power New Jahra’s system. Built for healthcare professionals, Pevco Atlas™ features a multi-user dashboard, tools for technicians and clinical staff, and an architecture that meets the needs of IT managers. The multi-user logon enables access from anywhere within a hospital’s campus and the real-time web-application dashboard gives clinicians a clear picture of their deliveries from start to finish.
The 180-station system at New Jahra Hospital will be Pevco’s second largest installation overall. Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee is the largest with 239 stations total and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania will have 186 stations following the completion of its current construction project. MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas has 165 stations.
